 [TV리포트=한수지 기자] 자해를 시도하고 엄마에게 폭언과 폭력적인 행동을 보이는 예비 중1 금쪽이가 오빠에게는 꼼짝 못하는 모습을 보였다. 
 16일 방송된 채널A '요즘 육아 - 금쪽같은 내 새끼'에서는 '엄마 S.O.S! 예비 중1 딸이 자해를 시도해요'의 두 번째 이야기가 그려졌다.
 앞서 금쪽이는 극단적인 행동으로 위험한 상황에 놓여 많은 시청자에게 안타까움을 안겼다. 친구 관계에서의 어려움은 물론, 엄마에게 욕설과 폭력적인 행동까지 보이며 충동 조절의 심각성을 드러내던 금쪽이의 솔루션 2주 후 모습이 공개됐다. 
 이날 금쪽이 엄마는 "금쪽이가 스스로 자기를 아프게 하는 건(자해 행동) 많이 줄었다. 솔루션 기간 동안 한번도 하지 않았다"라면서도 "사랑을 주고 인내하며 노력을 했는데 받아들이질 못하더라. 솔루션 자체가 많이 힘들었다"라고 고백했다. 
 일상 영상에서 엄마는 집안 곳곳 오은영 박사의 사진을 붙이고, 금쪽이에게 "언제나 오 박사님이 지켜보는 걸 잊지 말고 참을성을 길러보자"라고 응원했다. 이어 엄마는 자해 충동이 들 때 잊을 수 있는 대체 행동들을 알려주며 훈훈함을 안겼다. 
 하지만 그것도 잠시 금쪽이의 참을성은 점점 한계에 달했다. 금쪽이는 엄마에게 짜증을 내며 다시 욕설을 하기 시작했다. 욕을 하고 화를 내던 금쪽이는 갑자기 폭식하는 모습으로 걱정을 안겼다. 
 오 박사는 "절제하지 못하고 많이 먹는 것 또한 일종의 자해다. 이것 역시 감각 추구다. 심리적 안정감을 추구하는 그라운딩으로, 부정적 감정을 잠깐 진정시키는 효과가 있다"라며 "자신의 정서를 조정하는 힘을 길러서 자해가 아닌 다른 방식으로 감정을 표현하는 것을 배워나가야 한다"라고 조언했다. 
 또 금쪽이는 엄마가 오픈 채팅을 제지하자 분노를 참지 못하고, 엄마에게 발길질을 하며 폭력적인 모습을 보였다.

 오 박사는 금쪽이가 오픈 채팅에 집착하는 이유에 대해 "채팅방 수많은 사람들은 스쳐 지나가는 관계인데, 금쪽이는 당장 반응해 주는 게 더 중요한거다. 늘 누군가와 연결돼 있는 느낌을 받는 거다. 금쪽이에게 그곳은 (실생활과 달리) 거절 받지 않는 공간인거다"라고 설명했다. 
 그러던 어느 날 기숙사 생활을 하던 금쪽이의 오빠가 오랜만에 집으로 돌아왔다. 공부는 물론 인성까지 두루 갖춘, 이른바 '엄친아'로 불리는 오빠의 등장에 금쪽이는 설렘과 반가움이 섞인 미소를 보였다. 
 오빠가 준비한 저녁 식사를 함께하며 금쪽이네는 평소와는 달리 화기애애한 분위기를 보였다. 식사 내내 엄마의 시선과 관심이 오빠에게 집중되자 금쪽이는 점점 소외감을 느끼는 듯 했고, 결국 자리를 떴다. 이를 지켜본 오 박사는 "아들과는 떨어져 있어도 편안한데 금쪽이는 언제나 같이 살고 있어도 그렇지가 않다. 금쪽이가 그것을 아는 거다. 엄마가 오빠를 대할 때와 본인을 대할 때 온도 차를 느끼는 것 같다"라고 말했다. 
 이후 금쪽이의 공부를 도와주는 오빠의 모습이 공개됐다. 그런데, 오빠의 다소 단호한 지적에도 금쪽이는 웃음을 보이고, 심지어 오빠의 짜증 섞인 말까지도 웃음으로 화답해 눈길을 끌었다. 엄마는 "오빠에게는 한 번도 화를 내지 않는다"라고 놀라워 했다. 
 심지어 금쪽이는 오빠의 한 마디에 휴대폰을 종료하고 이야기를 경청했다. 오빠는 "엄마한테 왜 그러냐? 화나면 엄마 때려도 되냐?"라고 물었다. 금쪽이는 "안 그럴게"라고 고분고분 답하면서도, 오빠의 계속된 추궁에 손톱을 물어 뜯었다. 이 역시 오빠가 지적하자 금쪽이는 손을 바로 내리고, 엄마에게 가서 사과를 했다. 엄마가 말할 때와는 너무 다른 반응에 스튜디오는 놀라움을 감추지 못했다.
